Thailand Programs
Student Scholarships and Support:
Each year, This Gracious Work
provides scholarship and personal support funds to several students so they
can continue their education through high school and college. These
young people are orphans or from family situations in which funds are not
available. Contact is maintained with the student throughout the
school year and educational progress is monitored to ensure that program
goals are being achieved. The long term objective of the program is to
produce young adults of good moral character with leadership qualities, and
the skills and abilities to support themselves as they enter the workforce.
Often these students are the first in their family to achieve this level of
education, and in continuing their studies the students must often face a
variety of pressures, which can include the expectation that young teens
will obtain menial jobs as early as possible so they can help provide financial support to their parents
and family.
Facilities and Special Programs:
Construction planning and supervision as well as
funds have been provided for several projects that serve young people and
children. Over time, This Gracious Work has also assisted
with funding for rice mills, fish ponds, chicken and pig raising projects.
Equipment and trainers have also been provided for sewing & welding vocational
training..

Short-Term Mission Teams:
Each year many program supporters visit the various
homes and help with maintenance projects, special programs, tutoring (at the
homes as well as local schools), and other activities that serve the needs
of the residents. These trips are personally fulfilling as well as
beneficial to the homes and many individuals come for repeat visits.
